CPLD was appointed to design the interior lighting for Kai's Songbird, the Doha sister restaurant of London's acclaimed Kai of Mayfair, located on the ground floor of the Corinthia Yacht Club at The Pearl.

The restaurant sits behind a fully glazed, conservatory-inspired frontage and is flooded with natural light during the day. The lighting scheme was developed to carry the space seamlessly from bright daytime lunches to intimate evening dining. The design leads guests from the reception and catwalk into the triple-height dining room, where layered, warm lighting brings out the materials and decorative features of the interior and creates a memorable setting throughout all opening hours.
